How to Print Your Instagram Photos With MS Word

Hello there Sweet Peeps.  Over at the Smash*aholics FB Group, I had mentioned that I would do a tutorial on how I print my Instragram and Photobooth pics from my computer using MS Word and Photoshop Elements.  Today I am going to show how to prep 8.5" x 11 page document full of pictures for printing using MS Word.  PSE is a bit more complicated, but if you have some editing to do (ie removing red eye, changing balance), it's worth not having to take a few extra steps.  I will cover PSE in the near future.

I love taking pics with my iPhone.  There are tons and tons of apps in the Apple store for making great photo layouts and adding special effects.  The 3 that I use the most are Instagram, Photobooth Plus and Pic Jointer.  When you create your Pic from your phone, or other devise, make sure that you have your setting to "Save to Camera Roll".  Photos taken directly off your phone are of much better quality than saving them from the webstagram site.

To get you photos off your devise either plug your phone into your computer and import them to a new folder, or you can email them to yourself.   If you are connected to a home network, you may be able to auto sync, but I haven't figured that out yet - LOL.

Once you have your pics on your computer, open MS WORD and CREATE A NEW DOCUMENT.

Next, you want to change your margins.  Go to PAGE LAYOUT - CUSTOM MARGINS as shown below.

I'm going to make my margins 0.25" all the way around like this...

Click okay.

Now we are going to import our first picture.  Select Insert - Picture.  Locate the photo on your computer and select it.

With your photo in your document, you will now RIGHT CLICK to bring up the photo options.  We need to change how the photo fits on the document.

RIGHT CLICK - select TEXT WRAPPING - select TIGHT.

Now we need to resize the photo.  I personally like to print my photos between 3" and 4" inches. RIGHT CLICK - select SIZE.  Enter the size you would like your photo to be.

Once you've resized your photo, it should appear in the upper left corner of your document.

Let's go ahead and import another picture.  Repeat the same process for importing.  This time I am going to change the size of my photo first.  Once again, I will RIGHT CLICK - select SIZE and enter the desired size of my photo.

We are going to change the Text wrapping again.  RIGHT CLICK - select TEXT WRAPPING - select TIGHT.

Continue doing this for all of your pictures.  Once your page is full, you are ready to print.

Make sure when you print, you change the properties of your printer.  I have changed mine to print "BEST QUALITY" and I was able to change the type of paper I use.  In my case, I'm using HP Premium Plus Photo Paper.

Instagram Monday!!!

I hope you all had a FABULOUS Mother's Day weekend.  If you missed by last post, I had a GREAT Mother's Day.  Breakfast cooked by the kids and hubs, sitting on the deck enjoying the sunshine.  Opened presents!  Oh, they were so good to me.  I vegged out on the couch watching movies most of the morning.  Despicable Me just happened to be on... I LOVE that movie!   Why can't everyday be that way?  I even got a new charm for my Pandora Bracelet!  3 more and it will be time to start a new one.

A few weeks ago, when I decided to finally stop being a "bad blogger"!  I can't be all about business, right?  I mean really... I am human, I am woman, I have lots to share and something to say!  Not that anyone really listens (especially my kids - hahaha!), but I do enjoy writing and sharing with everyone.  I thought I would join the Amazing Kellie Winnell with Instagram Monday and link up with her.  I always have good intentions - LOL!  Well, I'm happy to say that I did it!!!  I'll face the fact here... I love Instagram, I love all my photo apps on my iphone, and I am a camera junkie - think that might be something to smash about, huh???

Favorite Cameras

It's no secret, I'm am a horrible blogger - LOL.  I started this blog quite some time ago to separate my personal blogging from the business blogging... and well... we can see how that has all worked out.  I've abandoned it. :(

The past year I have been restructuring my life in regards to family, work, and play time.  I've been enjoying much more time with my kidlets... making more moments count since moving the store back home.  Believe me, it has not been an easy task getting back into a routine.... I mean seriously, I had been a WAHM for years, so what's the big deal, right?  Wrong!  Keeping up on the housework, laundry, and finding the time to go grocery shopping still seems to be a task.  Mind you, I don't care to do any of those things... and I'm sure a big part of my falling behind is a true lack of motivation.  LOL

Even my craft time has been few and far in between.  There are days when I miss it and I long to get my fingers inked up, pull out the copic markers, or just cut and tear some paper.  Those days are usually the days that I'm knee deep in work and/or housework.  Of course the story is opposite when I have some time.  The last thing I want to look at is crafting stuff.  Weird, eh?

But on the brighter side, since I have discovered a new way to scrapbook... I've been back at it a little bit.  Oh yeah!  I'm a SMASH*er!  I LOVE my Smash books!  Quick and easy, simple and sloppy scrapbooking.  Just how I like it!   I can't wait to share some of my pages.  (business plug... yes, I do carry all smash products in the store, with the new line coming in first thing next week)

And... since I began smash*ing, I've found 3 more loves in my life....

And these great tools have brought me back to doing what I've missed and always loved doing.

Thanks to my dear friend Kellie Winnell from Give a Girl a Blog and Tickled Pink Stamps, and all the amazing girls at Smash*aholics, I've decided that it is time to get back to blogging too.... because I've really missed it.

Hope you will all join me tomorrow for my first series of Friday posts.  I'm not going to give it away just yet.  All I will say is if you know me, you know what Friday's are.
